He has a passion for fitness and has been with FHF now for 3 years. He is a former Combat Veteran and has multiple certifications in training and Crossfit. He has a passion for fitness and helping people reach their full potential in health and wellness.
ACE Certified Personal Training certification, IFA Group Exercise CertifiedJamie is certified and has nine years of experience teaching Group Exercise: Step Aerobics, Barbell, Water Aerobics, and Zumba. She is certified in CPR/AED. She also has seven years of experience teaching Kindergarten through fourth grade Physical Education. Jamie wants to inspire and teach people how to live a healthy lifestyle through physical activity. She is passionate about motivating people to achieve their fitness goals. Jamie is married and has one son. EDUCATION: Masters of Art in Teaching with a concentration in Physical Education from Western Carolina University, Bachelors of Science in Human Development from the University of Tennessee
Lauren Villanti, RD, LD is a registered dietitian and certified personal fitness trainer. She obtained a B.S. in nutrition & dietetics from Western Carolina University. Lauren also gained her practical experience through the Dietetic Internship with the Georgia Department of Public Health. Lauren has a strong love for fitness and prides herself on representing fitness and nutrition with passion and purpose. Growing up playing sports and being active has shaped the person she is today, and she knew early on she wanted to be a professional in the health and fitness industry to use her passion to help others.
Matt is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sport Medicine. He has a combined 10 years of training experience with 8 years of that time being at Western Carolina University where he served as the Assistant Track and Field Coach. His additional experience comes from club sport coaching as well as a year spent at Velocity Sports Performance where he led Adult Fitness Groups, Sports Camps and Clinics, and Youth Classes.Matt has his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and his Master’s in Physical Education and is currently teaching Health and Wellness at Southwestern Community College. He has a strong desire to help others reach their full potential and is excited to have the opportunity to make an impact in this community.

Michelle is both a certified personal trainer and a licensed massage therapist who loves bringing relief and results to her clients both through massage therapy and by helping them achieve their fitness goals. Michelle’s training and experience in both fields gives her a thorough understanding of how the human body works and how to customize a training program to fit each individuals needs. Amy loves spending time in nature, especially with her dog, River.Besides her personal trainer certification, Amy is an American Canoe Association certified Stand up paddleboard instructor and has 15 years experience as a registered nurse. When not at the gym her time is spent hiking, paddleboarding, whitewater rafting and stretching on her yoga mat.
An Upstate-New York native and Army vet, Russ moved to South Florida to attend Florida Atlantic University where he got a Bachelor of Science in Math and married his wife, Kim. In 1994, he moved to Orlando and after five years as a high school Math teacher and tennis coach, turned to his passion—fitness—and hit the ground running with 50+ attendees flocking to his energetic Kickboxing classes. He also became a personal fitness trainer, and raced in half and full Marathons in Chicago, San Diego, Virginia Beach, and Orlando. In the early 2000’s, he was swept off his feet by Yoga and has been an avid instructor ever since.In 2006, Russ and Kim opened Studio One Wellness, and Russ received his Florida massage license. He taught and served in numerous gyms and spas in Central Florida including the Ritz-Carlton Grande Lakes, the Gaylord Palms, and the Orlando Hyatt Regency. With the attitude it’s never too late to learn, in December 2018 Russ graduated with Honors from Liberty University with a master’s degree in Life Coaching. In the summer of 2019, he and his family moved to mountains of Western North Carolina and Russ joined the Franklin Health and Fitness staff. When he’s not hanging out with his family or helping others to stay healthy and fit, you can usually find Russ trekking or riding trails in the Nantahala National Forest.
Personal Trainer Jon Lyon has been training for over 10 years. He loves people and exercise. His passion is helping clients reach goals they would never make on their own. Most of his experience is working with athletes at the high school, college and professional level. However, his experience also includes helping clients with nutrition plans, weight loss, body sculpting, injury recovery, mobility and balance training with an age range of 6 to 88. Jon is married and lives with his wife and son in Dillard, GA.Education: BA Furman University, MACE DTS, MABS DTS, NSCA CPT, CF L2, CF Kids, CF Strong Man, CF Powerlifting, CF Mobility Hobbies: Hiking, White Water Sports, Grilling Healthy Food, Martial Arts, Power Lifting, Biking, and Basketball.
Lauren's hobbies aside from fitness are hiking and horseback riding. "I just love being outdoors! I have such a passion for personal training because it allows me to personally help people transform their lives. I love that even on a bad day, people can come in for a workout with me and I can be a positive light in their day."
