Know about MyZone?
According my myzone.org, MyZone is an innovative wearable heart rate based system that uses wireless and cloud technology to accurately and conveniently monitor physical activity. This is the tool for anyone who wants an accurate, gamified and motivating wearable. MyZone monitors heart rate, calories and time exercising that convert into MyZone Effort Points (MEPs), with a focus on rewarding effort rather than fitness.
Meet FHF member and Personal Training Client, Bart Cobb!
Bart Cobb uses MyZone when he works out at FHF and recently shared his experience. Here’s what he had to say:
I have had MyZone for about 6 months and I wish I had got it a lot sooner. It is a great motivator and gives me feedback about my workout in terms of my heart zones and calories burned. It also lets me know what zone I am in during my workouts which is important because I have a history of heart irregular rhythms. I really like the feedback it gives you showing your workouts and zones on a monthly basis.
I am 69 and I think anybody my age or older can really benefit from the feedback MyZone gives me. Recently when I went to the doctor and we were discussing my exercise regime, I showed him the monthly MyZone calendars that showed the days I worked out and where my overall zone fell. He thought that it was really beneficial to be able to show that information to a Doctor when heart issues are involved. In my last visit, he noted from the monthly displays, that I was having difficulty getting my heart rate up even though my level of exercise was increasing where some days I was burning almost 1,000 calories. Because of this information, he wants me to follow up with Tests and a visit with a Cardiologist.
MyZone is very beneficial for me and when people ask me about it, they are surprised that it is relatively inexpensive and the monthly fee is so small.
